One of the first Barry and Cathy Beck departures was on the Bighorn River in Montana. A reliable fishery, it’s where the Beck’s personally go to get their fish fix and they invite you to join them on a hosted trip in August 2016. The Bighorn stretches for miles and showcases back channels, eddies, weedy marshes and islands that make for perfect fish habitat, for both large and small trout. August generally produces spectacular hopper fishing and the occasional Yellow Sallies, Mahoganys, Tricos, and Black Caddis hatches. Nymph fishing is always a dependable bet too.
Enjoy 6 full days of wade and float fishing on the Bighorn River. Each day begins with a gourmet breakfast and a streamside lunch recharges you for the afternoon. Swap tales in the main lodge dining area over a hearty dinner and soak in the rural setting beneath the Bighorn Mountains.
Each comfortably rustic-style room is complete with 2 double beds, bathroom, small refrigerator and air conditioner. The long porch out front is perfect for enjoying the sweet, clean air and country quiet. Hang your waders to dry on the hooks by your door and enjoy local artists' work on the walls.

Upon arrival at the Billings Airport, you will be greeted by the Becks and transported 90 minutes to the lodge.
The knowledgeable guides are ready to share their secrets with you and, more importantly, do everything in their power to ensure a fun and memorable fishing experience. They use McKenzie-style drift boats to take you on your journey down the Bighorn. This is first and foremost a serious trout fishing destination.
Wi-Fi is available throughout the lodge; however, many cell service plans do not work at the lodge.

The Becks are well-known in the fishing, photography, and travel industries, and possess a stellar reputation for their skill, knowledge, and expertise born out of a 20 year career.
Their most recent books include Cathy Beck’s Fly Fishing Handbook, now in its third edition; Fly Waters Near and Far, a coffee table book of photographs, and a soon-to-be-released book on Alaska.
