Guests of the Lodge fly-out daily to remote locations in southwestern Alaska's prolific Bristol Bay watershed. All 5 species of Pacific salmon, rainbow trout, dolly varden, arctic char and grayling are available only a short flight from the lodge. You also have the flexibility to set your own schedule; the manager and guide seek your input each evening regarding the next day's fishing. The beauty of southwest Alaska is reason enough to visit. From trophy rainbows to tackle-busting kings, Mission Lodge is perfectly located to fulfill all of your fishing dreams.

Fishing

Fish the world-class rivers of the famed Bristol Bay area for your species of choice. Some fish are native species, such as rainbow trout, and the rest are the Pacific salmon species which are targeted close to the tidewater as they first enter the rivers and streams. Fishing gear provided!

Accommodation

The lodge offers the comforts of a 5-star hotel in a classic lodge setting. A sauna, hot tub and bar are some of the features. With ample room to relax, the main lodge features a great room with large dining area. Limited single rooms are perfect for those who prefer privacy.

Gear

Fly: Combo of 6- and 8-wt. fly-rod or a 5- and 7-wt. works well all season. Conventional: Lightweight rod/reel combo for smaller fish and a medium-action rod (6-7 ft.) for salmon. The lightweight reel should hold 150 yds. of 6-8 lb. mono. Salmon reels should hold at least 150 yds. of 12-15 lb. mono.

Trip Specifics

Fly into Dillingham by commercial air (specific schedules required), where guests are met and transported to the lodge by van and a short boat ride on Lake Aleknagik. The Lodge offers the native species, which are the non-ocean-going fish. The rest are the Pacific salmon species which are targeted in or close to the tidewater as they first enter the rivers and streams of Bristol Bay Alaska. Throughout the season, different combinations of salmon are available. Guides are happy to chase them with fly, spin or conventional tackle depending the angler’s preferences.

Rates

$8,500 per person plus 9% Aleknagik city tax. All inclusive from Dillingham, Alaska with full-gear package provided (rods/reels/waders/ flies/lures). Complete pre-trip information regarding lodge including tackle and packing suggestions will be sent upon confirmation of booking.
