We are very excited to introduce this Atlantic salmon fishing destination on the fabled Miramichi River for the 2012 season – a lodge that provides not only all-new modern facilities, but also embraces the Miramichi’s rich angling tradition.  There are few rivers on earth, if any, that can boast such populous runs of Atlantic salmon as can the Miramichi – it is unquestionably one of the world’s great salmon resources.  Blissfields Sporting Camps and the Old River Lodge has acquired a variety of private pools on the Southwest Miramichi, and with the ethos of strictly limiting fishing pressure and rod numbers on this exclusive water, offers the angler one of the greatest opportunities to land the salmon of a lifetime on this storied river.  After a 2011 visit by Freshwater Program Manager Stew Armstrong and Frontiers President Mike Fitzgerald, Jr., we are confident that a combination of top-end lodging and unprecedented private access will make Blissfields Sporting Camps and the Old River Lodge the ultimate angling destination on the Miramichi.
