The Bighorn River in South-central Montana is considered by many to be the finest trout stream in the United States. It is one of those rare resources that has consistent quality angling for trophy trout throughout the season. Frontiers has been sending guests to the Bighorn for nearly a decade, and all reports have been outstanding. The "Horn" is a tail-water fishery with a regulated flow that is rich in insect life. It is a broad river with riffles, long runs, and weed beds that harbor small mayflies, caddis flies, midges, and scuds. Hatches are varied and prolific. Trout average better than 15 inches and trophies over 20 inches are very common. The Bighorn's remarkable catch statistics are unmatched in the West!
