Bristol Bay Lodge - Accommodations

The eight guest rooms in the main lodge are arranged for single or double occupancy, with queen or double beds. Each has a private bathroom, comfortable furnishings, and is fully carpeted. The three cabins separate from the main lodge have living rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, wet bars and fireplaces. These cabins are generally used by special-sized groups or families. After a full-day of fishing, relax in the lakeside sauna or enjoy a soothing jacuzzi before cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and a hearty dinner. The gourmet cuisine is plentiful and carefully prepared. Freshly made soups, bountiful salads, home-baked breads and pastries complement the evening entrees. The tackle shop, game room and library are favorite congregating areas, as is the fly-tying corner --one of the most complete anywhere.

It is important for all Bristol Bay Lodge guests to be aware that they will be required to camp for two non-consecutive nights during their stay. In the course of a week, guests will be flown out to each of the lodge's outpost camps located on remote rivers and streams in Alaska's pristine wilderness. Each camp is fully equipped and staffed with two guides and a camp chef. Tents on wooden platforms have beds with extra warm sleeping bags, polar fleece liners, pillow, and linens. A spacious cooking/dining tent provides plenty of room for preparation of hearty meals and social gatherings in the evening. Most people find camping to be the highlight of their trip and a unique contrast and complement to the comforts of the lodge. The primary advantage of a tent camp is the ability to maximize your fishing time and to truly enjoy the flavor of the Alaskan wilderness.
