Australia's Northern Territory -- unique fishing in the Real Outback!
With beautiful inland billabongs, big tidal rivers, mangrove-lined estuaries and pristine coastal waters, "the Territory," as the locals call it, is home to some of the hottest fly fishing and tropical sportfishing action available anywhere.
For starters, there's the world-famous barramundi, the most popular target for anglers. In the Territory, the barramundi are big -- aggressive predators and great fighting fish with strong runs, high jumps, and rod-bending lunges.
Other species are numerous and include high-flying queenfish, brawling trevally, fly-slurping saratoga, hard-running Spanish mackerel and long-tail tuna. Great tropical sportfish, such as threadfin salmon, black jewfish and mangrove jack, are also found in these waters; and there is always a chance for anglers to do battle with marlin and sailfish.
