How To Get There
Esquel can be reached via commercial air from Buenos Aires, air charter from Bariloche, or overland with Patagonia Outfitters' staff. Couples and small parties should also consider a twin-engine aircraft charter for the flight to Esquel to maximize fishing time. From Esquel there is easy access for fishing at Isla Monita or Martin Pescador on the Lago Yelcho and surrounding area in Chile. The drive through the Andes is one of the most spectacularly scenic in all of South America.

Documents Required
A passport that is valid for six months after the last day of your trip is required. If your passport expires before then, please renew it right away. You will fill out a "tourist card" during your international flight. Do not lose your stamped copy of this card as you will need to present it upon exiting the country. A departure tax of approximately $30 is assessed on your departure from Argentina. No visa is needed for U.S. or U.K. passport holders; residents of other countries should check with their Argentine Embassy prior to travel for visa requirements.
