Prior to owning Fiordland Lodge, his career was in conservation land management and he spent 25 years as a National Park Ranger with 18 of those in Fiordland National Park. Due to his experience and knowledge, he is currently a Search and Rescue Advisor for the New Zealand Police Department.

Robynne Peacock has been involved with tourism for 40 years and has hiked extensively throughout the South Island. Both Robynne & Ron have an extensive knowledge of the natural and local history, which enhances their guests' experience.
