Futa Lodge - Fishing

The Rio Futaleufu is a tailwater fishery that provides ideal trout conditions throughout the Patagonian summer (December-March). Fishing is a combination of wading and floating on one of Chile's most famous rivers. The lodge also offers fishing on several remote clear-water tributaries that feed the main river. A healthy river eco-system produces good hatches and plenty of aquatic food. Streamers along with nymphs and dry flies will all produce fish throughout the day. Delicious lunches will be served stream side. Dazzlingly colorful beds of lupines and other wildflowers along with glacier-capped mountains surrounding the Futaleufu Valley will be the backdrop as you enjoy your day on the river. Pisco sours or cocktails served with scrumptious hors d'oeuvres are the prelude to gourmet dinners served with some of Chile's best wines. This is a perfect destination for anyone from a novice to a seasoned angler.
