Northern Lights Lodge has offered exceptional fishing for over sixty years and has specialized in dry fly fishing for the past eight. With the quantity of wild native rainbow and bull trout offered in this pristine area and the quality of the waters of the Quesnel, Horsefly, Mitchell and Cariboo Rivers, Northern Lights Lodge is able to offer truly world class fly fishing.
The lodge is located on the shore close to the outflow of beautiful Quesnel Lake, the deepest freshwater fjord in the world stretching 75 miles to the end of the East Arm and 55 miles to the end of the North Arm. The main lodge was built on the shore of Quesnel Lake in 1942 by the Hale family from Vancouver. Built of cedar logs from its Quesnel Lake property, this building continues to add to the countless memories that have been made here over the last 65 years.
In the late 1990s Northern Lights Lodge underwent a massive restoration project, in order to provide modern comforts to guests as well as maintaining the lodge's rustic charms.
