Location: Australia - Northern Territory
For starters, there's the world-famous barramundi, the most popular target for anglers. In the Territory, the barramundi are big - aggressive predators and great fighting fish with strong runs, high jumps, and rod-bending lunges.
Other species are numerous and include highflying queenfish, brawling trevally, fly-slurping saratoga, hard-running Spanish mackerel, and long-tail tuna. Great tropical sport fish, such as threadfin salmon, black jewfish and mangrove jack, are also found in these waters; and there is always a chance for anglers to do battle with marlin and sailfish.
Territorians are very serious about fishing. They protect the waters and the fish so the quality of fishing is second to none. There is a multitude of wonderful locations along with a full range of tourist facilities, excellent roads, expert guides, and all the other services needed to cater to visiting anglers. We invite you to come to the Top End for the angling experience of a lifetime!
