Unalakleet River Lodge comprises all the warmth and charm of a true Alaskan lodge. This exclusive lodge is the perfect setting from which to appreciate all the majesty and natural beauty of Alaska. Located 140 air miles south of Nome on Norton Sound, the main lodge was built from hand-hewn logs on a hill overlooking the Unalakleet River. The village of Unalakleet is situated at the mouth of the river, which served as a natural border between the Inupiat and Yup'ik Eskimos. This area is the "real" Alaska -- remote and secluded; Unalakleet River Lodge is truly in the Alaskan bush.
