Simon Robertson, a very experienced and highly regarded fishing guide in New Zealand, constructed Wildwood Lodge on his property, offering clients a personalized experience and unrivaled fly fishing opportunities in the Rotorua area. Having fished the Rotorua and Taupo lakes and streams for almost 40 years, Simon has a wealth of knowledge in virtually all facets of trout fishing. He is also a keen saltwater fisherman. However, his particular interest is nymph and dry fly fishing in small backcountry streams, targeting wild resident trout in peaceful surroundings. Simon holds numerous trophies for fresh and saltwater species but now devotes his time entirely to professional trout guiding. He goes out of his way to ensure that only the most appropriate and productive water is fished.
