Grand Slam Fly Fishing Lodge, the newest lodge on the famed Yucatan Peninsula, was built in November 2010 in Punta Allen near the famed waters of Ascension Bay, an area well known for its permit, bonefish, tarpon and snook fishery. Situated on a narrow, palm tree-studded strip of land, the lodge faces the Caribbean on one side with the lagoon on the other. With crystal-clear saltwater and white sandy beaches, it sits in the middle of a fly fishing paradise.
Experienced Yucatan fly fishermen will be happy to hear that the longtime manager/partner of the famous Casa Blanca and Playa Blanca Lodges, Bobby Settles, is the new manager of Grand Slam. He brings a wealth of experience, having run the stellar fishing operations of Casa/Playa Blanca for over 20 years.
