The fishing day begins around 7 AM with a hot breakfast at the hotel. From there, a short transfer will take you to the docks where you will be met by your guide. Hewes and Mako skiffs make up the Tarpon Bay fleet and provide a comfortable platform for your fishing day. These boats allow you to access the more shallow flats where a traditional panga would bottom out. Schools of tarpon in the 5-15 pound range will be found rolling on the surface of the flats and mangrove-lined creeks, and the occasional snook will also make an appearance. These fish are largely undisturbed and will respond to most well-presented flies.
