Casa Blanca - Fishing

Primarily a bonefish and permit destination, anglers typically encounter many schools of 2-5 pound bones; more experienced anglers can try for larger single fish running up into double digits. Tarpon inhabit Ascension Bay and some nearby lagoons adding to the area's diverse fishery. Exploring the labyrinth of mangrove-rimmed lagoons, your guide might suggest trying for one of the dozen species of snapper or sight-casting to barracuda and jack crevalle. Lying only two hundred yards from Casa Blanca's beach, the Palancar Reef teems with numerous reef species and seasonal pelagic fish including wahoo, dolphin, and Spanish mackerel. Most people will agree that the Ascension Bay region has the best grand slam potential of anywhere in the world.

Casa Blanca has a fleet of Dolphin super skiffs, custom designed for the rigors of Ascension Bay. these state-of-the-art boats feature larger motors and a v-bow design, which substantially reduces the wave action against the bow while poling, and can access areas not reached by larger boats. the wide beam design provides an incredibly stable platform from which to make those perfect casts. Each has been outfitted with padded deck-mounted chairs, custom rod racks and dry-storage lockers.
