How To Get There
Most major airlines offer flights into Daniel Oduber International Airport in Liberia which is a 45-minute drive from Flamingo Beach. If your international flight arrives into Juan Santamaría International Airport in the capital city of San José, the first night's accommodation is normally spent in San José. An early-morning 50-minute private charter flight from San José to nearby Tamarindo is suggested, though Tamarindo is also accessed by daily scheduled commercial service on either SANSA or NatureAir Airlines. Alternatively, a picturesque ride by car or minivan will have you in Flamingo in about four hours from San José.
