Louisiana Red Fish/Black Drum/Speckled Trout - Waterfront Camp – The Waterfront Camp can accommodate parties of up to six anglers. Located 45 minutes from downtown New Orleans right on the water, the camp offers comfortable accommodations with delicious Louisiana-style meals. The coast of Louisiana is home to the Biloxi Marsh or what it also referred to as "The Land Of Giants." Your day won't be judged on the number of fish landed but on pounds instead. Gregg Arnold and his team of expert licensed captains will introduce you to this region's excellent resource for redfish as well as black drum and speckled trout. You'll fish from modern skiffs equipped with poling platforms and elevated casting platforms sight-casting to feeding fish in knee-deep water. It is a rarity to see another boat. Schools of redfish inundate the maze of lagoons, bays and bayous, fattening up for the winter months. Offshore fishing is also available for tuna, cobia, and other pelagic species. As an alternative for anglers accompanied by their non-fishing spouse, we recommend the historic Woodland Plantation. Built in the 1830's and recently restored, Woodland is now a beautiful 9 room country inn.
