Mars Bay Bonefish Lodge - Fishing

The main building features three bedrooms, each with two queen beds, and two full bathrooms; a living room with satellite TV; dining room; and kitchen where a creative Bahamian chef prepares delicious meals. There is also a guest house that has two bedrooms, each with a private bath, and a living room with satellite TV. All rooms are air conditioned.

The majority of the bonefishing here is done by wading the hard bottomed flats with knowledgeable local guides. Vast schools of 3- to 5-pound bonefish frequent these waters surrounding the southeast corner of Andros Island -- all just a 10- to 35-minute boat ride from the lodge. You'll also encounter smaller schools in the 6- to 8-pound range as well as double-digit size fish. Barracuda, jacks as well as the occasional permit and tarpon can also be found in the deeper creeks and channels. In addition, the lodge offers offshore fishing for tuna, mahi-mahi, wahoo, and other pelagic species near the world's third largest barrier reef that lies just one mile from the lodge.
