North Riding Point - Fishing

The highly coveted northside flats are part of the Little Bahama Bank, which extend 50 miles northward to Walkers Cay and at least that far southeastward to Abaco. There are hundreds of square miles of fishable flats on this bank, an ideal habitat for bonefish. Wadable flats of hard sand and algae-covered rock are everywhere, and cruising fish are encountered in singles, pairs and small groups as well as large schools in above-average sizes. Fish in the 4- to 6-pound range are common, with 7- to 8-pounders not uncommon. Fishing is by trailered state-of-the-art super skiffs; there are 7 Dolphin Super Skiffs powered by 70-hp outboards with a leaning platform on the casting deck. The guides are certified veterans eager to share their knowledge and are skilled in communicating this information to novice or expert alike.
