Visit the sanctuary to witness the rehabilitation and reintroduction of Costa Rica's injured critters including macaws, toucans, sloths, white-faced capuchins, mantled howlers, etc., or maybe you prefer a trip to the Casa Orquidias Botanical Gardens to see the most diverse orchid collections in the Gulf and numerous edibles such as mangos, chocolate, cashews, vanilla, ginger, etc. If you wish a more active eco-tour, various tours are within close proximity including snorkeling, kayaking the mangroves, hiking the rain forest trails, horseback riding through the jungle and on the beach, and surfing. Relax with a cruise along the Rio Esquinas with its mystic mangrove swamp, a paradise for birding, or take a boat ride along one of the most pristine coastlines known as the Sweet Water Gulf. If your arms get tired from catching all those fish, a day off to enjoy an eco-tour or a massage on the beach may be just what is needed! Anglers and nonanglers will find plenty to keep them happy. Note: Eco-tours are at an additional cost, payable direct.
