2012 Saltwater Summer UpdateOverview: From the Desk of Joe Codd, Saltwater Department Manager
Joe Linscott, Mike Fitzgerald Jr. and I just returned from a week in the Bahamas where
we and some of our clients checked out a fantastic new mothership operation. The MV
BONEFISH is an 82-foot luxury catamaran that plies the waters of the Berry Islands, Chub
Cay, Moore’s Island, Red Shank, Whale Cay, Little Abaco and a host of other lightly visited
cays. If you long to fish in places where established fishing lodges are the exception rather than the rule, the comfort and exclusivity of the MV Bonefish might just be the ticket for your small group departure.

2012 Saltwater Fishing BrochureOverview: It’s nice to see that people are traveling again. For a while there I was starting to think that many had forgotten that fishing was supposed to be
an escape from the harsh realities of life. Maybe it just takes a little while for clarity and perspective to take over.

2011 Saltwater Fishing GuideOverview: Last year I sat down and wrote a few paragraphs on this same page, asking several rhetorical questions of our clients, mostly
questioning why more people haven’t taken their fly fishing game to the saltwater. I used my two sons as examples, citing with a slight oversimplification what it takes to catch bonefish, how it compared to trout fishing, how it wasn’t all that expensive or
difficult to get the hang of, etc. While I can’t accurately say how many of you took my words to heart, I suspect that more than a
few did, because I can’t recall the last time I personally spoke to so many first-time flats fishermen looking for information on our “best bets” for bonefish virgins. That’s great news, yet I still can’t help but be surprised that over half of our traveling anglers have yet to take a flats trip with us. Maybe another anecdotal offspring story will prompt some more interest for those of you that might still be a little shy about making the
leap into tropical bliss.

2012 South America Fly Fishing GuideOverview: Most people have both a preferred and a most dreaded time of year at work. As it happens, July and August tend to be my favorites (I’ll keep you guessing about the other) as it’s the season when my staff and I prepare our new South America Fishing and South America Shooting brochures.
It’s when we get to step back and reflect on the past season while eagerly looking forward to what’s around the corner.

North America Fishing 2011Overview: HOW DO YOU DEFINE YOUR PERFECT DAY ON THE WATER? For some, it is casting tiny dries on a Montana spring creek, or perhaps accessing a remote Alaskan coastal river by floatplane to meet a fresh run of Pacific salmon, or casting hoppers to the bank from a drift boat on an Idaho tail-water river, or packing in by horse to a high mountain lake. We invite you to discover why hundreds of loyal clients trust Frontiers to coordinatetheir annual North American fishing holiday.

South America Fishing 2011Overview: “SERIOUSLY, HAVE YOU BEEN THERE AND FISHED IT?” That was the
question one of our clients asked recently as we discussed a remarkable new dorado fishery in the Bolivian Amazon. It is also one of the first questions our staff has continually heard since Frontiers opened its doors in 1969.
