Enjoy the thrill of driven partridges in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains. Here in the area called Domain Chafarni, 3,000 hectares of undulating landscape provide ideal habitat for the Gambra partridge. Malik Laraichi along with Carlos Rua and Diana Campo from Spain have created Hajal Atlas, the first Moroccan partridge shoot organization, similar to the Spanish shoots that we have operated for years but with an exotic touch. The season runs from early October through February. Our scheduled departure is November 11-15; however, intact parties can be accommodated throughout the season. Expect mild temperatures from mid-October to the end of December with cooler mornings and sunny days in January and February. Temperatures average about 62 degrees F.
From Taroudant, it is a 45-minute drive to the shooting area. This 3-day, double-gun shoot includes five drives a day, three of which will show extremely high, challenging partridges. A light snack is served between drives and a full-course meal will be enjoyed in the tented lodge in the field before returning to the hotel. Cartridges and all transfers are included in the full shooting package.
Fly direct from Paris to Agadir, where gun clearance is handled efficiently; transfer 40 minutes to the boutique Hotel La Gazelle D'Or in Taroudant featuring attractive garden bungalows, a spa and swimming pool, refined cuisine and classic piano bar. Nonshooters can join the shooters in the field or other excursions can be arranged. We can handle post-shoot extensions to Marrakesh, Fes, or at any of the Agadir golf/beach resorts. Call us and ask for details on this truly memorable shooting experience in the stable, welcoming country of Morocco.
