Three Forks Ranch - Big Game

Trophy elk, mule deer, and pronghorn; high-end, game-rich, fair-chase hunts

Opened in 2008, Three Forks Ranch is one of the west’s most successful conservation stories. Located on the Colorado/Wyoming border, this 200,000-acre working cattle ranch has become one of the premier big-game destinations in the U.S., the #1 rated wilderness luxury spa and host to incredible trout fishing. Elk and mule deer thrive among the diverse game habitat of quaking aspen stands, serviceberry, the dark timber of lodgepole pine and spruce, and open park-like meadows. Five day hunts on this game-rich ranch are complimented by personalized service, warm hospitality, and excellent cuisine.

Shooting

The Ranch benefits greatly by being bordered on 3 sides by National Forest and public land hunting. This is fair-chase hunting at its finest. Incredible guides will give you the opportunity to see more animals on this ranch than you can ever imagine. Both rifle and archery hunts are available.

Accommodation

Comfortable, well-appointed cabins are dispersed throughout the ranch property and feature full-service amenities, privacy and hearty delicious meals. All but the very remote Godfather Cabin have Wi-Fi and cellular service available and all have satellite TV so that no one will miss that big game.

Gear

Archery hunters must bring all pertinent field gear with proficiency to 60 yards at a minimum. Guides typically prefer fixed-blade broadheads. Rifles in the 300 realm are typical and 185-grain bullets are the norm. Shots are often inside 150 yards but can range from a stone’s throw to 400 yds.

Trip Specifics

Hunts are 5 days in duration and each day is a split hunt; morning and evening. Rifle hunts are 1 on 2 guiding and archery hunts are 1 on 1. Individual 1 on 1 guiding is available for an upcharge and is based on guide availability. Three Forks is ideal for non-hunters and features a world-class spa, pool, horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking, 4-wheeling, wildlife scenic tours, and for those that tag out early, there is a championship sporting clays course, and excellent trout fishing. The Ranch is accessed from the airport in Hayden, CO with complimentary shuttles (90-minute drive).

Rates

Both elk and mule deer hunts are $12,500 per hunter plus a resort service fee and applicable taxes. License fees are separate and change annually. Colorado requires that hunters possess and carry with them a Hunter Safety Certificate from their home state. Domestic airfare is not included.
