The High Lonesome Ranch sits in a fertile valley on the western slope of the Colorado Rockies. With over 300 square miles of deeded and permitted access, the ranch is a quick 30-minute drive from Grand Junction's Walker Field Airport. This area of Colorado is dramatically different from the rest of the state. Snow fall is light, temperatures during the winter are in the 40's and dry, and the wingshooting season runs from September 1-February 28. There are over 30 spring creek ponds on the property, big game hunting for deer, elk, turkey, bear, and mountain lions. A sister ranch, the K-T in Meeker, features a world class stretch of water on the White River as well as three spring creeks. The High Lonesome Ranch has been featured in many magazines, from Shooting Sportsman, the Bird Hunting Report, Stratos Magazine and Sporting Classics, among others.
