Woodhaven Plantation - Overview

Location: United States - Georgia

Season: November 15-February 28

Capacity:

Woodhaven Plantation is a 5,000-plus acre property near Coolidge, Georgia, not far from Moultrie and Thomasville. It is owned by Mr. R. Charles Loudermilk, Sr. of Atlanta. Under his stewardship, the lands have been intensely nurtured for 20 years to enhance a thriving quail population. The amenities are stunning and the hunting and fishing are excellent. It's a wonderful place for a small party of friends, family or valued clients to enjoy the best living and hunting for wild quail in the classic Southern tradition.

Woodhaven was featured in the attractive book "The Sporting Life" published in 1992, celebrating great U.S. properties, that reflect a passion for hunting and fishing. In it the author states, "Woodhaven represents an Atlanta family's successful efforts to build anew on a century-old tradition in the Low Country of South Georgia." We certainly agree - the result is something to be very proud of.

At Woodhaven you will enjoy a feeling of exclusive, secluded privacy and the staff will treat you like a member or friend of the owning family. To the extent they can, the staff will tailor-make your stay to embrace the special interests of each guest, either shooting or non-shooting. We can arrange for your menu preferences to be accommodated and the whole atmosphere will be relaxed without pretense. Dinner attire is mostly casual, as you prefer; although by tradition, at least one dinner is coat and tie. Breakfasts are served at the main house and lunches may either be served in the field or back at the main house.
