The Kanektok (aka the Chosen River) is a fly fisherman’s dream. Located in southwestern Alaska near the village of Quinhagak, the camp lies within the Togiak National Wildlife Refuge. With over 4 million acres, it is home to some of the most prolific salmon runs in the world and hosts a wide variety of fish, bird and mammal species. In the clear waters of the Kanektok, anglers will find all salmon species, trophy-sized leopard rainbow trout, arctic char, grayling and dolly varden. The Kanektok and its tributaries and braids give anglers access to some of the best sport fishing in the world.
Enjoy six days of trophy salmon and rainbow trout fly fishing. In July, the Kanektok receives a run of 50k - 200k chum and sockeye salmon, and 20k-35k dolly varden (arctic char) passing the fish weir last year. On even years (like 2018), a run of over 100k pink salmon occurs.
The lodge offers sturdy, heated "weatherport" style tent cabins with wood floors and carpet. Super strong and waterproof, they can handle the weather in Alaska. Each guest has a single tent with padded cot, high-quality sleeping bag, and plenty of storage room. A drying tent is used for wet gear.

They have Winston, Sage, G-Loomis, Redington, and Echo fly rods, both spey, switch, and single hand rod / reel outfits are all accessible for guest use.
