Located on the scenic Pacific coast of Costa Rica on the bay of Golfo Dulce, Zancudo Lodge has established itself as a leading fishing Lodge with over 70 IGFA world records. In fact, in 2009, Pacific Sports Fishing voted Zancudo as the Best Fishing Lodge in Costa Rica. This area of the Pacific, also known as Golfito, is world-renowned for its excellent saltwater fishing.
You arrive April 14, fish four days inshore / offshore and depart April 19. The inshore species you can expect to catch are rooster, snapper, jack, bluefin trevally and many others. The offshore list includes marlin, sailfish, tuna and dorado. Inshore / offshore runtime can be very minimal.
You will enjoy the authentic Costa Rican experience while staying at the Lodge. Zancudo sits perfectly in the Gulfo Dulce and offers a great tropical setting with wildlife and foliage. Feel free to take a swim in the pool or relax in the hammock on the beach while enjoying the Zancudo sunset.
The rate is $4,950 per person based on shared accommodations and fishing two to a boat.
Upon arrival to Golfito, you will be transferred to the marina and met by a Zancudo Lodge captain and will be taken on a short 20 minute boat ride to the Lodge. The expected daily schedule for the next four days is as follows: after breakfast, head straight to the boat to fish. Your lunch will be served on the boat. Once you return to the Lodge around 3:30 PM, relax by the pool prior to dinner being served at 6:00 PM. On the morning of departure, you will be transferred back by boat to Golfito to the Sansa terminal. Upon your arrival in San Jose, you will connect to your return flight back.

As Manager of Frontiers Saltwater Fishing Department for over 17 years, Joe has had the opportunity to fish most of the world’s premier flats and bluewater destinations. This hosted week aboard the floating lodge Hannibal will be Joe’s third visit to this Central American country, but his first to Coiba National Park, a Unesco World Heritage Site and one of the richest marine ecosystems on the planet.
