Our friends at El Monte Lodge have shared a wonderful recap of their 2024 hunting season with us.
Dear Customers of El Monte Lodge, We are thrilled to share a recap of our 2024 hunting season with you. The season kicked off in March with an exceptional start, marked by hot weather and incredible dove hunting opportunities. Our European clients especially enjoyed the consistent high flyways that stretched throughout the season. The action continued strong until April 14th, when the first bands of pigeons began to arrive, drawn to our lush peanut fields. With vast amounts of land dotted with irrigation pivots, the area provided ample opportunities for successful hunts. August generally marks the end of food for pigeons, who leave the area until the next season, while dove numbers and their challenging flights resemble those of March, just without the heat. This year, as the season drew to a close, we enjoyed the peacefulness, the amazing sounds of nature and the presence of birds, though we had fewer visitors than usual. We are hopeful for a more positive 2025 season, both to continue supporting our small local community in San Luis and to make our hunting campaigns glorious again. We look forward to your continued support and hope to see many of you next year. Kindest regards, Maria & Juan Alberdi
Until we meet again next season!!
