The Lodge has been providing Alaskan fishing adventures since 1985. When it comes to guided sportfishing in Alaska, it really comes down to one thing - the quality of your guide. Guide / owner Zack Walters delivers a quality of service that is both personal and professional. Whether you're a seasoned angler or just getting your line wet for the first time, they will work with your skills and help you get the most out of your Alaska fly fishing trip. You will fish from drift boats equipped with Kicker Motors to navigate the Upper Kenai River, Middle Kenai River and Lower Kenai River.
Whether you want monster rainbow trout, hard fighting sockeye salmon or trophy silver salmon, they have the experience and knowledge to make your Alaskan fishing trip a success. They specialize in fly fishing and are certified instructors to have you catching fish immediately!
Frontiers arrange accommodations in Cooper Landing as part of the package. From rustic cabins to sophisticated private residences for the whole family or group. Frontiers has choices that are sure to suite your taste.
All tackle, waders and flies will be provided. You will have a cooler with water and hot coffee is on board for full day trips. A hot shore lunch of the freshest salmon you will ever eat can be an added bonus.
Most guests rent a car and drive in / out from Anchorage. A 20 ft. Willies custom drift boat with a kicker outboard and a level casting platform is your boat for the day. Premium Sage Fly Rods with Galvin Reels will be provided for those needing gear. Cooler and bottled water provided. All tackle and flies provided. You will have hot coffee on board for full day trips. Trout and dolly varden are catch and release only. If you would like to fill the freezer with salmon, they will gladly fillet and bag your fish after the trip until we can get it to one of the local fish houses.
Frontiers customizes stays and provide trips of varying lengths. The drift boats hold four fishermen. We can reserve the entire boat or just a “fishing seat” depending on your desires. The accommodations are packaged along with your fishing arrangements. Please contact us for options and rates.
