Andres FlyFishing offers experienced guide trips on the remote Elk, St. Mary, Kootenay, and Old Man Rivers in addition to many other smaller tributaries in Southeastern BC & Southwestern Alberta. A less explored region of the Rocky Mountains, these rivers team with cutthroat, rainbow, brown, and bull trout; leaving shorelines pristine and waters competition free.
Elk, St. Mary, Kootenay, & Old Man Rivers are touted for quality, consistent dry fly action and hatches with great drift access. See healthy brown, bull, westslope cutthroat, and rainbow trout in uncrowded regions of water ranging from tiny walk/wade creeks to many floatable rivers and trophy lakes.
Accommodations vary and are booked separately from the fishing. In Fernie, anglers can choose from resort lodging outside town, B&B's, and quaint town center hotels - all arranged by Frontiers. Your travel expert will discuss accommodations at the time of booking.
5 & 6-weight rods/reels optimum for presenting dry flies and terrestrials. Predominantly weight forward floating lines. A complete gear list will be provided with confirmation packages. Frontiers consultants have first-hand tackle and fly recommendations.
Andres FlyFishing is best reached via Calgary, Canada; Cranbrook, BC or Kalispell, Montana. Combine Fernie, BC with trout fishing in Northwestern Montana for a two country Rocky Mountain experience. The Rocky Mountaineer scenic train and a Vancouver visit is a perfect complement to a week of trout fishing. Lunch is included on the river during fishing days. Breakfast and dinner are a la carte. Summer season wet wading is enjoyable.
Fly fishing day and package rates are quoted upon request and include guide service, transportation, lunches, non-alcoholic beverages, flies, tippet and spare rods. Fishing license, accommodations, and other incidentals are extra. Certain waters have an additional fee, please inquire.
