Forging Frontiers III: South America Wingshooting Showcase

This is Elaine Wissolik, South America Wingshooting Destination Specialist for Frontiers. As we continue on hiatus with our daily lives, opportunities to learn and expand our horizons are abundant. If you’re reading this, you know what we like to do, and we take equal pleasure in sharing these rare gems with our clients. In this moment of pause, we’d like to showcase El Monte Lodge in the San Luis province of Argentina.

This refurbished 18th-century estancia blends country elegance with the finest decoyed pigeon and dove hunting in the region. Your hosts, Juan and Maria Alberdi are some of the finest people we know in the industry, and you won’t want to leave their trademark hospitality. El Monte can also plan wonderful activities for non-shooting guests and couples. However, It doesn’t have to end here.

Argentina is roughly one-third the size of the United States, and it’s bordered by the rugged Andes Mountains and Chile to the west. The glaciers and mountains of Patagonia are awe-inspiring, and the waterfalls in Iguazu are the biggest and most beautiful in the world. Spend a few days in the sophisticated capital city of Buenos Aires, the Paris of South America. Also in the region are ancient wonders like Macchu Picchu, Easter Island, and the Galapagos Islands. We can easily combine any of these destinations with a shooting trip.
