Brooks Creek Ranch

Reliable dry fly fishing, opportunities for bull trout, luxurious, and scenic

Overlooking the Elk River, Brooks Creek Ranch (BCR) is Fernie's newest luxury fly fishing lodge. BCR offers a secluded feel while still remaining rather convenient to access. The lodge offers unique access to British Columbia's finest trout waters by foot, boat, and helicopter. Independently powered and sustainable, the lodge features spectacular amenities in complete seclusion bordered by stunning views of Mt. Hosmer and Three Sisters range. Whether an avid angler or seeking a serene escape, BCR is the destination for a memorable and repeatable journey. Season runs July 2-October 20, 2024.

Fishing

The Elk River is a clear water dry fly fishery with excellent hatches and terrestrial fishing for Westslope cutthroat and opportunistic streamer scenarios for bull trout. Explore additional provincial waters and venture into neighboring Alberta for trout species and water diversity.

Accommodation

Six (6) guests weekly enjoy inclusive single ensuite rooms, well-appointed living spaces, hot tub and game room accompanied by gourmet cuisine tailored to their preferences. The deck – a focal point – offers stunning views of the mountains, Elk River, and lodge home pool.

Gear

We recommend 4-6-weight rods/reels with floating lines for presenting dry flies to cutties, bows, and browns. Bull trout call for heavier 7 and 8-weight tackle. A complete gear list will be provided with confirmation packages. Frontiers consultants have first-hand tackle and fly recommendations.
