Cabin Bluff is a true retreat in every sense of the word. Its pristine forest overlooks Georgia's vast tidal marshes cradling the famed national seashore on Cumberland Island. Established in 1928, Cabin Bluff’s history and heritage are that of a world-class hunting and fishing destination. Experience coveys of quail flushed on 1,800 acres of prime habitat, a large deer population, plentiful wild turkeys and even wild boar. Additional activities include a five stand and sporting clays course, Davis Love III designed golf course, lap pool, kayaking, and hiking and biking trails.
A covey of bobwhite quail rising over pointing dogs is an exhilarating sight and source of passion for many hunters. English pointers working in slash pine timber are a sight to behold. These canines are trained to be steady to wing and shot, while the retrievers are taught to flush and to retrieve.
Guest cabins support 20 private rooms with private baths, allowing no more than 40 vacationers at any given time and ensuring a most private and uncrowded experience. Comfortable accommodations reflect the rustic elegance of Cabin Bluff's fabled history and natural surroundings.
Double barreled shotguns from 28 to 20 gauges are suggested. The lodge is an affiliate of the Beretta Trident program. Beretta loaner guns and shotgun shells available on-site. Hunter orange hat and jacket are required. Frontiers can provide expert advice on finding the right gear for your trip.
