Fishing: Fishing in Costa Rica is as diverse as the famous rainforest wildlife. The Pacific coast offers outstanding offshore opportunities for Marlin, Sailfish, Tuna, Dorado (Mahi), and more. Inshore anglers can target Roosterfish, Snapper, Jacks, and other hard-pulling species. There are large tarpon found in the North as they migrate deep into freshwater marshes and on the Atlantic coast where rivers empty into the ocean. Inland, there are exotic species including Machaca, Rainbow Bass, Mountain Mullet, and even a chance at some Rainbow Trout.

Other Activities: Costa Rica is famous for its eco-tourism, world-class beaches, and surfing. There are accommodations that range from rustic to over-the-top luxury, and activities that range from mild (casual wildlife hike) to wild (rappelling down a jungle waterfall, ziplining over the rainforest canopy).
