Fishing

Fish offshore for sailfish, marlin, tuna and dorado. Then try some inshore fishing for roosterfish, snapper and trevally. For something new, try a guided kayak and shore fishing excursions. Their fleet of Boston Whalers and Strike Yachts are crewed by experienced bilingual captains and mates.

Accommodation

Two-story buildings hold 28 air-conditioned spacious rooms including deluxe rooms with Jacuzzi and balconies to enjoy the birdlife. After fishing, enjoy the pool with swim-up bar or have a drink and share a fish tale at the bar prior to a meal of international and local cuisine. Wi-Fi is available.

Gear

The resort provides conventional gear, but feel free to bring a favorite rod and reel. Fly fishermen may prefer to bring their own fly equipment. Please consolidate in a protective tube to avoid damage while traveling. Details regarding fly and spinning gear will be provided upon trip confirmation.

Trip Specifics

Your flight should arrive in San Jose where you overnight and fly to Puerto Jimenez the next morning via commercial flight which has a 30-lb. luggage weight limit. For entry into Costa Rica: A passport in good condition and valid for duration of stay and either a round-trip ticket or proof of onward travel to another country. If arriving from certain countries in South America and Sub-Saharan Africa, you must present evidence of a valid yellow fever vaccination prior to entry.
