These Gulf Coast waters offer endless marshes, salt flats, tidal rivers and lakes, and the largest population of redfish, including massive bull-reds and black drum in skinny water. Regional guides navigate this labyrinth in custom Glide & Hells Bay skiffs accessing the most remote water.
Taking the live-aboard experience to new heights, Eleven’s 61 foot Hatteras offers a four guest capacity in four staterooms and two baths. In addition, this fully air-conditioned vessel features a living room and bar area for gathering, a commercial galley with a professional chef, and satellite TV.
For redfish, a 9-foot, 8, or 9 wt.?rod, a large arbor smooth drag saltwater?reel and warm-water,?weight-forward floating line is ideal. Leaders commonly measure 9 to 12 feet, with 15- or 20-pound tippet. Temperatures vary; check the forecast and the Frontiers pre-trip for packing information.
Season: October 1-December 20 annually for a maximum of four guests sold as intact departures with no mixing of groups. Guided fishing with one or two anglers per Eleven guide. Inshore and coastal reef fishing is available at an additional cost. The Outpost vessel services Louisiana (Oct-Dec), spring Everglades (March-April), and Marquesas (May-early July).
$7,000/night with options of 3-day/4-night or 4-day/5-night stays, for 4 anglers, sold as intact group departures only. Including planning, water transfer from/to the marina, Eleven guided fishing, Eleven gear and flies, meals, and all beverages (beer, wine, and liquor). Custom quotes are available.
