Patagonia River Ranch (PRR) has earned a reputation for being one of the best trout lodges in Argentina. Combining great fishing on nearby rivers with local guides, an upscale lodge with great staff, and the flexibility in their program for you to combine both fishing and non-fishing activities as you see fit has made this lodge a much sought after destination for the traveling angler. This is a great destination for the serious angler and for those who'd like to experience other activities at the lodge. Guided horseback riding, hiking, tours of the local community are just the tip of the iceberg of what extended activities PRR has to offer.
Patagonia River Ranch has a few select rods open in March 2025 - which if you have never fished in Patagonia at this time, you are certainly missing out. March is when the heat of the summer subsides, the insect hatches return during daylight hours, and the trout begin feeding voraciously to put on some weight for the coming spawn. Rivers like the Rio Chimehuin and the Rio Collon Cura are staples in their fishing program, and these rivers ignite with action during this time.
