This remote and secluded lodge sits on the narrows between Grosvenor Lake and Colville Lake. You can expect total seclusion and comfortable accommodations. Excellent fishing for rainbow trout, char, lake trout, northern pike, and sockeye salmon is available. The local waters of Grosvenor remain almost completely untouched by other area fishing operations. This lodge is truly a place you can call your own – isolated in the wilderness, incredible views, and tons of wildlife. The American River and the narrows in front of the lodge all have heavy runs of salmon smolt which attract predator fish.
Guests have private access to the fishing in the lake systems and the narrows right in front of camp. The lakes have one of the largest sockeye runs in the state along with resident rainbow trout. This is an exclusive area without having to use float planes or sharing the waters with other anglers.
Guests stay in 3 double-occupancy guest cabins equipped with heaters and electricity. A modern bathhouse is next to the cabins. The kitchen and dining area feature great views of Grosvenor Lake and the main lodge has a lounge and bar, where cocktails are served each evening.
Fly: Combo of 6 and 8 wt. flyrod or a 5 and 7 wt. works well all season. Conventional: Lightweight rod/reel combo for smaller fish, and a medium action rod (6-7 ft) for salmon. The lightweight reel should hold 150 yds of 6-8 lb. mono. Salmon reels should hold at least 150 yds of 12- to 15 lb. mono.
The lodge is intimate with only 6 anglers per week. Your trip starts upon arrival into Anchorage's Ted Stevens International Airport (ANC).
