The Dolomites are home to numerous rivers and lakes ideal for fly fishing including the Adige, Chiese and Sarca Rivers. Trentino boasts over 180 miles of fishable water mostly managed by Fishermen’s Association with limited access by permit only.
Accommodations range from charming local hotels and lodges to full-service luxury hotels. Your lodging will be carefully selected based on your preferences, close to the fishing locations.
We will provide a complete list of what to pack. We recommend 5- and 6- weight rods with floating lines for most of the rivers fished. Be sure to bring quality raingear, polarized sunglasses, waders and a hat for sun protection. Dress in layers!
Using Trentino as a base, you are 2 ½ - 3 hours from Venice. The prime fishing season runs from late spring to early autumn (May to September). Species include the Italian marble trout, brown, rainbow and brook trout and grayling. A typically fishing day would be 8:30AM – 4:30PM with lunch either streamside or at a local restaurant.
Italy is not a set program, and rates vary based on number of days fished as well as choice of accommodation.
