When it comes to guided sportfishing in Alaska, it really comes down to one thing - the quality of your guide. Guide/owner Sean Smart delivers a quality of service that is both personal and professional. Whether you're a seasoned angler or just getting your line wet for the first time, Kenai River Recon will work with your skills and help you get the most out of your Alaska fishing trip. You will fish from powerboats or drift boats depending on the species and location. Fish the Kenai and Kasilof Rivers for all salmon species, trout, dolly varden, and steelhead.

Fishing

Whether you want a big Rainbow Trout, hard fighting Sockeye or Silver Salmon, they have the experience and knowledge to make your Alaskan fishing trip successful. Power boat or drift boat options. Spin or fly fish, all skill levels welcome, and all your fishing gear will be provided!

Accommodation

We have packages to include accommodations in Sterling or Cooper Landing. Riverside on the Kenai with options for lodge rooms or cabins. Guests may fish independently from their lodging to get the most of your trip.

Gear

All tackle, waders, and flies/lures will be provided. You will have a cooler with water and hot coffee is on board for full-day trips. A hot shore lunch of the freshest salmon you will ever eat can be an added bonus.

Trip Specifics

Most guests rent a car and drive in/out from Anchorage. You’ll either fish from a custom Driftboat with a level casting platform or a powerboat with a jet drive outboard engine. Cooler and bottled water provided. All tackle and flies provided. You will have hot coffee on board for full day trips. Trout and Dolly Varden are catch and release only. If you would like to fill the freezer with Salmon, they will gladly fillet and bag your fish after the trip until we can get it to one of the local fish houses for processing.

We customize stays and provide trips of varying lengths. The accommodations are packaged along with your fishing arrangements. Please contact us for options and rates. Rates do not include meals, necessary rental vehicles, gratuities.

Alaska Fly Fishing Lodges
