This property features year-round, high-volume doves and pigeon shooting thanks to abundant regional water sources and vast tracts of agricultural land bordered by prime roosting habitat. From April 15-August 15, Kono’s mixed bag program of dove pigeon, perdiz and ducks cover a smorgasbord of Argentine wingshooting.
Nestled in a cottonwood grove in La Pampa Province, Kono lodge is a cozy, tastefully refurbished Spanish colonial-style house with comfortable accommodations ideal for intact parties or mixed groups of up to 10 guests.
For discriminating shooters interested in the ultimate mixed bag shoot (dove/duck/pigeon/perdiz) from May 1-July 31, or a 12-month stand-alone dove shoot, this is it. Kono is just a 30-minute drive from the charter airport in the town of General Pico and is easily combined with Estancia Santa Rita.
Kono (meaning “dove” in Mapuche language) offers a recently refurbished Spanish colonial-style house with comfortable accommodations for up to 10 guests. The lodge has 5 double rooms with private bathrooms, living room, dining room, galleria, outdoor dining area, pool and gun room.
Semi-auto and o/u rental guns from 28 ga. to 12 ga. will be available. Beretta/Benelli/Browning are the common brands carried. Shells selections include Argentine and imported that are species appropriate. A recoil reduction device to ease the shooting impact and ear/eye protection are imperative.
The following carriers offer daily non-stop service to Buenos Aires, Argentina: American, United, Delta, LAN and Aerolineas. From Buenos Aires, domestic airports (Jorge Newberry) connect with commercial flights to Santa Rosa. For those interested in private charter service, we can quote a schedule from Buenos Aires to the airstrip at General Pico. It’s a 30-minute drive to Kono Lodge from there.
