Guests of the Lodge fly-out daily to remote locations in southwestern Alaska's prolific Bristol Bay watershed. All five species of Pacific salmon, rainbow trout, dolly varden, arctic char, and grayling are available only a short flight from the Lodge. You also have the flexibility to set your own schedule; the manager and guide seek your input each evening regarding the next day's fishing. Fish the world-class rivers of the famed Bristol Bay area for your species of choice. Some fish are native species, such as rainbow trout, and the rest are the Pacific salmon species which are targeted close to the tidewater as they first enter the rivers and streams. Fishing gear provided!
Single rooms are standard at Mission Lodge, making it perfect for those who prefer privacy. It offers the comforts of a 5-star hotel in a classic Lodge setting with features like a sauna, hot tub, and bar. With ample room to relax, the main Lodge features a great room and large dining area.
Fly: Combo of 6- and 8-wt. fly-rod or a 5- and 7-wt. works well all season. Conventional: Lightweight rod/reel combo for smaller fish and a medium-action rod (6-7 ft.) for salmon. The lightweight reel should hold 150 yds. of 6-8 lb. mono. Salmon reels should hold at least 150 yds. of 12-15 lb. mono.
Fly to Anchorage and overnight at a recommended hotel. Lodge package includes roundtrip private charter flights to/from Anchorage and the Lodge. Mission Lodge offers fishing for all native species plus the Pacific salmon species, which are targeted in or close to the tidewater as they first enter the rivers and streams of Bristol Bay, Alaska. Throughout the season, different combinations of salmon are available. Guides are happy to chase them with fly, spin, or conventional tackle depending on your preferences.
