Rapids Camp Lodge is easy to reach via the lodge's private charters from Anchorage. This full-service, fly-out lodge sits on the Naknek River, one of the most diverse and exciting rivers in Alaska. Rapids camp also offers single rooms for all guests, as well as delicious meals and a great lodge bar. The location allows you to fish for salmon on their home river or fly out on a daily basis (included). These fish are just 20 miles from the ocean and dime bright. You can fish the best spots of the upper part of the river where large rainbows are feeding behind spawning salmon.
The Naknek River receives runs of all 5 pacific salmon along with being voted Alaska’s #1 Rainbow trout River. You are riverfront on the Naknek and flyout fishing in the Katmai/Bristol Bay area is included and nearby! Fishing options are plenty from big water to remote walk and wades.
The lodge takes 10 guests/week in 8 single rooms and 1 double all with queen beds. Amenities include a hot tub, a sauna, workout room, a bar, Wi-Fi, and satellite TV. The lodge also has an on-staff masseuse. A separate private is available with two bedrooms with a living room for 4 guests.
Fly: Combo of 6 and 8 wt. flyrod or a 5 and 7 wt. works well all season. Conventional: Lightweight rod/reel combo for smaller fish, and a medium action salmon rod (6-7 ft). The lightweight reel should hold 150 yds of 6-8 lb. mono. Salmon reels should hold at least 150 yds of 12- to 15 lb. mono.
Guests fly commercially to Anchorage where you will connect to a private lodge charter to King Salmon, AK. You will then be driven a short distance to the lodge on the famous Naknek River. The Naknek is the only connection between Bristol Bay and the massive Naknek Lake drainage, thus, each year millions of salmon that are returning to the drainage to spawn must swim right past the lodge. With all these salmon, the native Rainbow Trout, Dolly Varden and Arctic Grayling grow to unbelievable size. Their program combines fly out fishing to different rivers throughout the area to add diversity
$15,950 pp (5 flyouts, 1 local) $12,950 pp (2 flyouts, 4 local). All-inclusive fishing packages provide all the gear for fisherman and includes private roundtrip lodge charters from Anchorage/King Salmon. Chef prepared meals and comfy double or single occupancy room round out the package.

Wild rainbow trout are available from ice-out, with a double-digit trout a distinct possibility at any date ...
