The lodge is situated in the province of Neuquen, approximately 40 miles southeast of San Martin de los Andes. The surrounding landscape includes lush green valleys irrigated by small creeks and is set against a backdrop of high peaks. In these rich pastures you find the red stag that come to feed. Aside from the red stag, the area has a wide variety of animals such as guanacos, choique, wild boar, pumas, foxes and much more. The vast estancia is entirely FREE RANGE and hunters typically encounter several herds of deer throughout the day.
A pair of hunters will be accompanied by an English speaking guide. Hunters will choose between horseback, ATV or trucks for hunting. You will return to the lodge at midday for lunch. Aside from a trophy stag, there are opportunities to hunt cullable stag and wild boar.
Hunters will stay in a newly refurbished house, close to the main estancia. The lodge has a wood stove and a cozy living room. This simple but comfortable lodge is the perfect place to unwind after a day’s hunting.
Necessities are high quality binoculars, comfortable hiking boots, kneepads and leather gloves for stalking. A complete gear list will be sent upon booking your reservation.
Guests fly commercially to Buenos Aires with connecting flight service to Bariloche or San Martin airports. The ranch is a 2-hour drive from either airport location. Guests will move to the chosen hunting grounds by a combination of trucks and/or horses and then progress on foot for the hunt.
5 night/4 day hunt is $5,950 per person; non hunters welcome at $395 per night. Included is lodging, meals, all wines, beer, and local spirits; Professional guide service (2:1); Hunting license; 1 trophy red stag, and trophy preparation.
