Estancia San Huberto is one of the Becks longest standing departures and feels like a home away from home. Managed in European style, its many beats offer a variety of fishing opportunities. Some guests have asked for a couple more days of fishing, so after 5 days on the Malleo, we will fish 4 days at neighboring Estancia Pilolil. Located less than an hour from San Huberto, Pilolil offers floats with private access on the lovely Alumine River.
Arrive Buenos Aires March . March 3, transfer to San Martin and check in to San Huberto
March 4 - 8: Five full fishing days on the Malleo
March 9: Transfer to Pilo Lil
March 10 - 13: Four days of fishing Estancia Pilo Lil
March 16: Depart San Martin to Buenos Aires.
San Huberto hosts 16 guests - just 12 anglers - in four single and six double rooms with ensuite bathrooms. The central bar is ideal for sharing fish stories and a bottle of Argentine Malbec.

Anglers fly commercial service from Buenos Aires to San Martin. Drive times are approximately 45 minutes from San Martin.
Trip Host
Longtime Frontiers trip host and photographer, Barry travels far and wide to follow his love for fly fishing and nature photography. Based in Pennsylvania, Barry and his late wife Cathy write books, host fly fishing departures, lead African photo safaris, and operate a stock photography business. The Becks are well-known in the fishing, photography, and travel industries, and possess a stellar reputation for their skill, knowledge, and expertise born out of a 30 year career.
Their most recent books include Cathy Beck’s Fly Fishing Handbook, now in its third edition; Fly Waters Near and Far, a coffee table book of photographs, and a soon-to-be-released book on Alaska.
