Frontiers & Game Train Scotland are very pleased to be able to offer the ultimate old school sporting adventure in Scotland. Combining famous Scottish hotels, the old world elegance of the royal scotsman and some of the finest sporting estates this really is the trip of a lifetime. From the moment you get piped on board to the the moment the last shot is fired you will be looked after by a highly experienced team that is on call to ensure you trip proceeds smoothly and without any issues. The shooting takes place on hand selected estates which provide welcome hospitality as well as good and challenging shooting. The days shooting would typically start at 9:30. There will be two of three drives in the morning with a break for elevenses. After lunch there will be another drive or two.
Accommodation is provided between the Gleneagles hotel and the Royal Scotsman train. The optimal number of guests is 8-10, this enables us to provide each guests with a double twin room for extra space. Each room is en-suite with a shower, loo and wash basin.
As with all shooting in the UK tradition plays its part. The suggested shooting outfit is:
- A pair of plus fours with suitable socks
- Shirt and tie
- Shooting Jacket
- Wellington boots
The evenings are smart casual
Your trip starts and ends with a night at the famous Gleneagles hotel. From there you move onto the Royal Scotsman train which will be your home from home for the next 3 nights. During the day you will enjoy 3 days shooting on some of Scotland’s best shoots for Pheasants, Partridge and Wild Duck. Throughout your stay on the train you will be hosted by Charlie Brownlow who is the chosen Frontiers partner for the Game Train Scotland.
