Gabon boasts the longest stretch of untouched coastline left on the African continent, providing saltwater fishermen with a unique and thrilling fishing experience. The massive estuary system, rich in nutrients, is home to numerous species of fish that can be targeted with both spin and fly tackle. Fly fishing for tarpon, jacks, and other species is a popular option for anglers, who can wade or fish from a boat in search of their target species. The country’s strict conservation policies and limited access to the coastline have helped to preserve its natural beauty and biodiversity.
The park’s pristine beaches and crystal-clear waters are ideal for fly- fishing, with numerous species of fish found in the region including large tarpon, cubera snapper, and giant African threadfin. The lodge has a team of professional guides who are experts in both local fishing and wildlife.
Accommodation at Sette Cama is in the form of rustic chalets, each with twin configuration and its own en-suite bathroom. Despite the remote location, there are modern amenities such as air conditioning in every room. Meals are enjoyed in the main living and bar area overlooking the estuary.
