Solitude and Wild Trout on a Vast Chilean Ranch

If the idea of fishing in solitude in Patagonia appeals to you then Estancia de los Rios is for you. Estancia de los Ríos Lodge, located in the remote Cisnes (Swan) Valley of Chilean Patagonia, offers an authentic experience, where time seems to stand still, and the only sounds are the rush of the river and the calls of wild birds on a 445,000-acre private ranch. The lodge has four rods available for the week of March 1-8, 2025, which is a late summer to early fall period at the ranch.  During this time you will find a nice mix of grasshopper and traditional dry fishing on the waters.  With over 60 miles of pristine rivers, spring creeks, and lakes, guests have exclusive access to world-class dry fly fishing for brown trout, offering a diverse range of experiences from intimate spring creeks and abundant hatches to larger rivers and full-day float trips, ensuring a new adventure every day.

The lodge itself is a charming log cabin with six comfortable double rooms, each with private bathrooms and stunning mountain views, accommodating a maximum of 12 guests per week for an intimate and exclusive experience. After fishing, guests can relax on the veranda, savoring fine Chilean wines and sharing stories of the day's catch. Located just 15 miles from the Argentine border, the lodge also offers the possibility of cross-border fishing trips, further enhancing the experience.
