Stephan Lake Lodge provides high-quality and big game trophy hunts in Alaska's spectacular Talkeetna Mountains, Susitna River drainage and GMU’s 13E & 14B. All hunts are 1X1 with an experienced guide and are fully outfitted for your comfort and safety. Dall sheep, moose, grizzly and brown bear, black bear, caribou, and wolf/wolverine predator hunts available. Combination hunts are also offered.
Hunt for nearly every big game species from this lodge. Hunts for grizzly, brown and black bears are open year round as part of Alaska fish and game management programs in predator control areas. This hunt can be undertaken by hunters with limited mobility, so options are available.
The main spruce log lodge overlooks Stephan Lake and offers private rooms for two with a bath, shower and a lakeside sauna. The large common area has a natural stone fireplace and is a great place to relax. There are also a series of outlying rustic log cabins that are warm, dry and comfortable.
The guides will furnish all camps, food and daily guide service. The hunter will furnish his own rifle, ammunition, sleeping bag and all items of personal nature. A comprehensive packing list will be sent upon request.
This is a remote wilderness lodge located on Stephan Lake nestled in the heart of Alaska's Talkeetna Mountains. Stephan Lake is situated on the edge of the Nelchina Public Use Area and very close to Mount McKinley and the Denali National Park. Guests will fly into Anchorage via commercial airliner and then take a short flight to Stephan Lake Lodge via bush or floatplane. The bears average 8.5 to 9+ feet. These bruins are hunted while feeding on the king salmon run, or spot and stalk in the mountains.
Hunts are guided 1X1 unless requested 2X1 by the hunters. Single species guided hunts start at $6,500 to $25,500. Combo packages available and priced upon request. Waterfowl hunts and fishing are available. License, tags, charter flights and native land use fees extra. Please call for details.
